New to the area and am looking for a place to have my father's retirement dinner in St. Louis. There will be 10 of us for the celebration and I was thinking somewhere in the price range of $15-25 a plate (not including drinks). I want some place that is nice (we'll be dressed nice so I don't want to look out of place) but also a fun atmosphere. Is there anywhere in St. Louis like this???? We can go anywhere in the city or suburbs as we are renting a limo to take us around. I do know we will be going to Bailey's Chocolate Bar for dessert, but just can't find a place for dinner......HELP!!!!! Thanks.

For moderate priced dinner in the price range you mentioned you might try Sqwires. It's right there nearby Bailey's Chocolate Bar. You could park right there at Sqwires parking lot and only have to walk across the street to get to Bailey's. Sqwires is a pretty nice place and do a pretty good business. I'd recommend a reservation if you decide to go especially with that size of group. Sqwire's serves a wide variety of things. You'll find steaks, pasta, seafood, and even a few "veggie" meals. Hope you have fun on your celebration!

The Old Spaghetti Factory is a great choice. The MElting Pot in U city or there is one in Town and Country is a nice fondue resturant with great food, it may be a little out of your price range, their menu is on the website. Check out the news channel 5 website www.ksdk.com and go to the dining out section!

There are many places on the hill. We also love Almonds in Clayton, Brazies on Hampton, and Tratorria Marcella on Watson, just to name a few.

Try Bartelino's South on Lindbergh Blvd (they meet your price range and atmosphere)

Squires is excellent also - more hip and maybe slightly more priced

If you like Greek food at all, I highly recommend Olympia in Dogtown. It is unique, and the prices are definitely right!

I'd start here if you're looking for restaurants. They have good reviews:
