My cars chrome (i belive its chrome, its a metal i know for sure)grill comes out and ive tried to clean it, but with minimal results. What product would you reccomend to take out the 32 years of dirt, to make it shine like new.

Secret weapon is.................

Scouring powder. Like Comet or Ajax. Just buy a ninety cent can of any scouring powder and use a moist wash cloth and get to scrubbing.

BonAmi scouring powder is OK, too, but it doesn't work as fast as the other stuff.

If it's chrome, use some cola, the acidicy of it will get most of the dirt, dust, and other sediments. Just be sure afterwards to powerwash the grille to get all the sugar off.

Try silver polish and a very soft bristle toothbrush. It takes time, but the shine lasts a long time. Bugs and dirt and don't stick as bad after you clean it. The Polish is the one that your mother and grandmother used on there fine silver.

Use a little wd-40 and this will help if not try some blue magic

the best in my book is SOS pads,then mothers chrome polish.found at all parts stores.

EZ to do! Cheap to buy. Mr. Clean magic eraser. Follow very simple directions. Available at the local grocer. You're welcome!
