I can let a lot of things get by me. I don't care. When it counts though, I will stand up for myself. Assertiveness is a very effective tool

I've learned that the two most important words in marriage are "yes dear". I'm getting too old to stand up myself, so when she says "Do you need help getting up", I say "yes dear".

At ANY cost....I claim NO pretense, however NO ONE pushes me around...not one soul...not big business......NO ONE crosses me or mine..they have me to deal with....and though I am quiet and unassuming,....I wouldn't dare anyone to cross my path and try something subversive!

P.S. I am a Protector....would rather NOT have to counter.... I haven't a mean bone in my body, BUT no one takes advantage of me or mine.
