"President Clinton is once again releasing American military might on a foreign country with an ill-defined objective and no exit strategy. He has yet to tell the Congress how much this operation will cost. And he has not informed our nation's armed forces about how long they will be away from home. These strikes do not make for a sound foreign policy."-Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA)

"No goal, no objective, not until we have those things and a compelling case is made, then I say, back out of it, because innocent people are going to die for nothing. That's why I'm against it." -Sean Hannity, Fox News, 4/5/99

"I cannot support a failed foreign policy. History teaches us that it is often easier to make war than peace. This administration is just learning that lesson right now. The President began this mission with very vague objectives and lots of unanswered questions. A month later, these questions are still unanswered. There are no clarified rules of engagement. There is no timetable. There is no legitimate definition of victory. There is no contingency plan for mission creep. There is no clear funding program. There is no agenda to bolster our overextended military. There is no explanation defining what vital national interests are at stake. There was no strategic plan for war when the President started this thing, and there still is no plan today" -Representative Tom Delay (R-TX), 1999

Republicans LIVE by their hypocracy. For the past 6 years, being Republican was a "Get Out of Jail Free" Card. They don't have any concept of the consequences of their actions, or, even more chilling, they simply don't care.

They have callously lied to the American people, not about an issue between two consenting adults, but lies which have directly caused the deaths of 3,500 soldiers who didn't need to die. Worse, they show ZERO remorse. They cynically bank on Americans' being so busy trying to keep ahead of bills, they (we) won't remember the bitter rhetoric from the Republcian side of the aisle all through the end of the last Millenium, obstructing everything your President tried to do to keep Americans safe.

While Clinton was dealing with the first attack on the WTC (39 days after Elder Bush left office in almost a big a disgrace after one term as his son will after two), Repubs were defeating measures to track chemical explosives manufacturing and increasing airport security. While Clinton's FBI was foiling terrorist attempt after attempt, a Republican Congress was asking Clinton's aides if he ever mailed his personal Christmas Cards using White House postage machines. While Clinton formed the first US counter terrorism task force and the first US policies regarding domestic terrorism (Funny how you NEVER hear of the Montana Militia anymore, all those domestic militias just kinda went away after Dubya was elected....FUNNY how that kinda thing happens).

I wish there was a way to pass an unrecallable law which says Republicans will not be elected again until they repay the American people all the money we've spent on the lies they've supported (and which some STILL support). You want to be able to lie to get ahead? There are consequences to those actions. Didn't your parents ever teach you that? Or were you raised by the illegal immigrant nanny?

The total is almost Nine TRILLION Dollars, cash only, small bills, no personal checks accepted.
That way, maybe they could shut up for 10 minutes and actually try to focus on solving the problems they've spent the last 6 years causing.

I remember the hypocracy. And it makes me feel good to know others remember too.

"One thing is sure. We have to do something. We have to do the best we know how at the moment... If it doesn't turn out right, we can modify it as we go along."-Franklin D. Roosevelt

"Carry the battle to them. Don't let them bring it to you. Put them on the defensive and don't ever apologize for anything." - Harry S. Truman.

"It is a fearful thing to lead this great peaceful people into war, into the most terrible and disastrous of all wars, civilization itself seeming to be in the balance. But the right is more precious than peace, and we shall fight for the things we have always carried closest to our hearts." -Woodrow Wilson

"Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty. "-John F. Kennedy

"Sadly many Americans hold political posturing in higher regard than the cry of voices yearning for freedom" -me

It never ceases to amaze me that so many are so wholly invested in our defeat in the War on Terror that they do not stop to consider what will happen if we loose.

this movie connects the dots as to why.
One Actor, One Room, Seven Characters: 9/11.

Traumatized by the September 11th attacks, one man struggles to dismantle official history, at the expense of his sanity and even his life. Grappling with multiple realities - and multiple personalities - he must retreat into his mind in pursuit of the truth. In a fictional film about non-fictional events, there is a place where belief and faith will blind you, where nothing is sacred, and to get there all you have to do is ask:

"Who Killed John O'Neill?"

Clearly, they were right when they objected to Clinton's actions and cowed when they let Bush do whatever. Sadly, most of us give "the benefit of the doubt" to someone who identifies themselves as "on our side". Bush and the neo-cons have taken the Republican Party far from its base. Hopefully, with the immigration fiasco, some of them are waking up, but many still aren't attuned to the fact that Iraq was a strategic mistake. Yes, we're all thrilled to be done with Saddam, but our leaders never thought through to the outcome, or if they did, they neglected to share with the American people that we were committing ourselves to a 50-year war.

Good work - interesting how any mention of the war brings out two lies over again
First of all the connecting of 9/11 with Iraq.
Second that if Bush lied Clinton must have. Clinton said there were weapons there so he introduced a number of strategies to resolve the issue. None of them involved wiping our @rse with international law and they WORKED! Because they worked - Dubya had to invent nonsense about unranium from Niger and anodized aluminum tubes to justify his war.
Nothing to do with WMDs and nothing to do with 9/11

Just think - He got more than 1,000,000 young Iraqis butchered for nothing but to fatten up Dick Cheney's oil-soaked wallets. He also got a mere 5,000 young Americans butchered.

Basically the same lies that Bill Clinton gave in 1999 for bombing Iraq and signing the "Iraqi Liberation Act."

I have to say those who point out Bush for lying about Iraq would be far more intellectually credible if they mentioned how many Democrats sang the same tune as Bush before he was even elected. It makes you just look like an overly emotional crybaby devoid of reason.
