No, it means you're smart - ecologically aware, not wasting fuel, not producing CO2, not clogging the roads. Ride the bus with pride! Drive only when there's no viable alternative, when the roads will be clear or when you have too much stuff to carry.
Some buses also carry bikes, so you can bicycle quicker or further than walking to and from the bus stops, then let the bus carry you most of the way while you relax, read or meet new friends. Check out the fun cartoons at my namesake's website!

No, it means you're riding the bus.
You don't have to be poor to not have a car. I've known quite a few people who didn't drive, by choice. Mostly they're from major cities, which have decent bus systems. There are large areas of the US where the buses suck so bad you'd never rely on them if you didn't have to.

Round where I live, it means you are rich, don't mind arriveing at places more then half an hour early, and are capable of putting up with the teeth shattering vibration the bus undergoes as it drives.
Either that or you don't have a driving licence.
The bus systems and routes in the UK require some serious rethinking.

Of course not. Alot of wealthy or somewhat wealthy people ride the bus for convienence. No parking of car or sitting in traffic. With the gas prices it makes more sense to rise the bus.
