A friend emailed me this today and I just wanted to pass it along.
There is a very scary thing going on in the schools right now that all need to be aware of. There is a type of crystal meth going around that looks like strawberry pop rocks.
There was a link in my email so I checked it out myself and I was shocked. There is also a picture on their site, but I'm sure it comes packaged in many different ways. You can see what it looks like though.
My son is starting 4th grade next year and it's so scary to think that they aren't even safe at school.
I simply can't believe how low people would go to sell drugs.

From an ex-user of methampetamine... the best thing you can do is to educate your kids. I know 4th grade is young, but you should learn everything you can about that stuff so you'll know. Tell your kids how bad drugs are and how they can ruin their lives.

I wish my parents had been informed about that stuff. Maybe if we'd talked about it honestly I wouldn't have done them. But my parents didn't know anything.

Kids are getting into drugs a lot harder and earlier than they used to these days. Come up with a plan for what your child should do or say if they are offered drugs.

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

No,I didn't know that.I read that there's heroin mixed with Benadryl and other meds.,and they're calling it cheese. It's being sold in schools for $2.00.Kids as young as 12 are primary targets.21 teenagers have already died from this new form of drug.Heroin in Middle School,I can't believe it!Anyways, thanks for the info.

New generation/same old garbage... it's just a matter of good upbringing and praying/hoping our kids these days follow what we try to instill in them (good things). I'm glad that you're so concerned-that can only benefit you and yours and hopefully influence people around you.

this is so sad and scary. it takes all the innocence out of childhood.... like you know parents are supposed to say "no candy! its bad for ur teeth!" now what the hell are they supposed to say? "no candy! it might make you a druggie and put you in the slammer when you grow up!"

=(
