I agree with the person on top, I recommend just some good ol' Slaytastic assault on the ears to get ya pumped and forget about what gets ya down. Pantera and Lamb of God work as well.

I like the idea of range. If you have an expansive library of genres, moods, and tempos, then start exactly where you feel, then start to work your way to something that makes you feel beeter, keep going until you feel inspired and elated again.

I'm not a christian nut. . .but honestly, when I'm sad, the happy gospel type music gets me goin, that and heavy metal.
