okay I would change light bulbs to lower watts like 40 and use good engery saving ones,

keep the thermosate at 78 for cooling and about 73 for heating,

defintely use your energy saving setting for computers or just shut them off.

unplug appliance that arent used every day because they pull electricty even if they arent used (surprised, I was electric man told me this)

If you have a electric water heater try changing to a gas one,

keep blinds closed, getting drapes for window that have a thermal backing help keep heat and cool area where they are suppose to be.

use cold water in the washer. Try hanging clothes to save from running the dryer.

hope some of these help

Have you bought the newer flouresent light bulbs? Those are an excellent way to reduce costs. Washing your clothing 2 times a week is another way. If you dont have a HE washer, its going to use more water so washing 2 days helps. And keep the thermostat on 65!

We have the technology now to use the solar power to run a hydrogen generation system and store the hydrogen to burm in a power generation turbine at night or when the wind stops. This process is not efficient or economical enough for wide spread use yet but they are working on it as an alternative.

Take short showers, when you wash your dishes fill up the sink (don't let the water run when), turn off your computer at night, don't turn on your heat (use blankets and sweaters), buy energy saving light bulbs (they are fairly cheap)

Thats all I can think of right now

buy energy saving light bulbs.
only keep the lights on in the room you are in
keep lights dim if brightness is not necessary
keep fridge and freezer on the warmest settings possible (just make sure your food doesn't spoil!)
If you want to sanitize dishes without using too much hot water, just add a little bleach to the dishwater and then you can use cold water and kill just as many germs.
hand wash dishes rather than using dishwasher
turn off the water when brushing teeth
