Forget that " Weedeater" brand feather weight. Unless your yard is 25x25.
Check out the Poulan they are made by the same company .

I can only tell you of my experience with the Weedeater Brand.I used the same weedeater for my yard from 1985 until the year 2005. That summer the switch finally gave out! It would work periodically the end of that summer and when it did the motor was as strong as the day I purchased it. I might add during those years at times my lawn mower was broken and I couldn" afford another and I know I weedeated my entire yard for two years. Either the Lord was providing or its one heck of a weed eater.

Marcos
Having had all three types (electric, gas, and rechargeable) I DEFINITELY prefer the rechargeable!
My electric wasn't practical: I have two acres, and all those extention cords! :(
The gas powered one was heavy, cumbersome, and tended to cut out on me a lot.
I now have the Black and Decker rechargeable, and it works great. Added plus: you don't have to tap it! It holds a charge for about a half an hour; anyone with a normal-sized yard should get the job done on one charge (it takes me two or three.)
I've had mine for 6 years, no problems.

Stihl they make residential and commericial trimmers and are the best

Do not make the mistake of going to a home improvment store and buying one of their trimmers they aren't comparable to the quality of stihl
