I guess it might depends on how you like your hair pulled. For example, I like my hair pulled, but not like ripped out. Large handfulls being tugged at feels good and helps relieve tension. I have people do that for me when I have a headache and it helps. If you are like me, explain that it helps you relax and feel better.
If you enjoy your hair being yanked at for the pain, then yes that's a little weird and he might be a little afraid, but either way, it's you and if you just explain it to him, he should just understand.

I've told my man crazy stuff I want to do..and he doesn't bat an eye. I think a lot, if not all guys, are all about making their girl friend/spouse happy. My advice, "what do you have to loose"...I'm sure he has things he likes in bed that aren't exactly "normal". Go for it....don't be so up tight :)
