Pretty straightforward question. I would just like to know what your favorite BOC song is, and why you like it so much. Tell me a bit about your thinking, please, as that makes it easier for me to understand your train of thought and pick a best answer.

Thanks for participating and sharing your opinions with me.

(If you are curious about mine, check back after the question is closed--I will add it as a detail before I close out the question. I just don't want to influence anyone's answer.)

My personal favorite is called "Veteran of the Psychic Wars", from the soundtrack to the movie "Heavy Metal" (yes, that old, weird animated movie). It's an incredibly powerful song that tells a strange and enigmatic story. It's easily as good as "(Don't Fear) The Reaper"

OBVIOUSLY, "Don't Fear the Reaper" was their best song!

The music and lyrics are hauntingly beautiful, but in a morbid kind of way. I've always wondered if this song influenced some unstable individuals to commit suicide!

I always thought it was strange and creepy and different - and I LIKE that sometimes. An unforgettable guitar riff, too!

I love "Don't Fear the Reaper". I've always thought it was a very haunting song, but I've always loved it. I was lucky enough to see BOC live a few years ago at an Ohio festival called Hookahville, and they were awesome!

easy... don't fear the reaper... why you ask? I had a great experience and that song was playing....

the night started out like any other night... hanging out with 2 friends... we where bored and decided it would be cool to chekc out this supposedly haunted grave yard outside of town.. so we called up some friend and a group of 6 of us went. We all packed into my car with all sorts of cameras to try to document proof of hte after life. .... needless to say, we didn't see any ghosts, but we did go to a lake afterwards, took some acid and just watched the stars... we had the radio on in the car by the lake and that song came on at just a perfect time.

Its Godzilla of course. Who else but BOC could make a song about a Japanese monster, and make it sound great - i.e. a song with what could be kind of ridiculous subject matter, but the song was awesome.
