Tofu doesn't really taste like much which is why it's prefect to use as a substitute for so many other things. It can be marinated and spiced to taste like all kinds of things. The thin kinds makes good sauces, the densest can even be pressed so the texture is similar to meat. But the taste depends entirely on how it's prepared.

have you ever broken the eraser off of a pencil and chewed it? tofu is like that, except tofu tastes worse.

I have only tried it in one dish. Hot and Sour Soup from the Chinese restaurant. I love it in that. I think it just takes on the flavor of what you eat it with.

yes its soft and doesn't have much taste. good to put tasty sauces with it or dressings if in a salad.

TOFU is made from soy. It's almost tasteless. But it is good for our health!
