you made a mistake. (in going to your mom's and running him down to her - or anyone else)
don't do it again.
i think it's ok to share your feelings about your marriage, even to your mother, but if you make a practice of it, it's very bad! - it's not only immature, but she will end up hating him and then you go back to him, it's not good for him, or your marriage.
try to grow up and learn to handle things on your own more.
don't run away from problems, getting other people on your "side".
just apologize to those people and go back to your husband and communicate with him about how you're feeling.
both of you should try to handle it differently in the future.

1. It taught me reign in my impulsive reactions and be a bit more tolerant. I learned when my husband's happy it makes me happier than if I got my own way (most of the time). 2. I am sure it has, but don't know how much. I laugh more and also waste more time than I used to! 3. He seems to have lost some self-assurance, which does differ from arrogant despotism. As he reminds me of my brother, I worry about him and hope he knows he has a lot of friends rooting for him.

First you tell them the truth and tell them that you think that your marriage needs another chance. That you love him and willing to make things work out between you guys. They are supposed to be happy for you if they love you...

You owe no one an explantion about this. If someone should say something just respond with like all married couples we had a problem and I overacted about it.

he will slowly prepare himself for the day you do leave hime
for the last time
or he might do the same to you

just go back and tell him. There is alwys two sides to every story.Your parent tell them too. They will understand.I beleive it happens to everybody mine happened after 9 years of marriage. It all comes out in the wash. It happens.Sometimes you become closer like me and my husband.I told my parents I just want to vent sometimes. They already knew.
