A lot of words could describe a hateful person, it would depend on the context. Who is being hated? The word could be racist, "hater", bigot...bigot covers intolerant hatred in general though.

The traditional word is 'misanthrope'.

But 'hater' works too, at least in normal conversation. I wouldn't use it in a research paper, but otherwise it's fine.

"recluse" and "hermit" are considered synonyms
