Noah got all the small to medium sized animals together & into the ark. Why this included roaches, we'll never know. The ark's purpose was to facilitate repopulation of the Earth after a mass purging from a flood. Noah got a message from God through a psychic dream he had.

Due to limited lumber supplies & naval engineering skills, most dinosaurs were just too big to fit into the ark. Some could; just after the geckos were loaded, a meteor hit the Earth, just like the scientists have told us. The meteor hit somewhere in one of the large oceans. The impact was so great that much of the world's water was displaced into the atmosphere and came down in the form of heavy rain. This flooded areas where there was no water previously. Land based dinosaurs drowned from the flooding & lack of food. Noah floated around for a long time until all the water fell & drained back to its previous locations.

It all makes sense now, the Ark, the meteor, the flooding, & the extinction of dinosaurs

Dear :),
The influx is because I am generally concerned about dinosaurs' welfare. You know how cute they can be as stuffed animals.

Yes they can agree, but only if you make them.

Basically, religion does not and will not ever make complete sense. It's a matter of faith and interpretation. This means that it can be molded and shaped along the lines of our increased understanding of the Universe. At one time, believing in God and accepting the fact that Earth is round were contradictory.

Just for argument's sake, if someone had a video of a group of men fabricating complete lies and writing them down as the word of God to create the Bible...even then people would find ways to interpret that in a way that allows the existence of their God to make sense.

First off, let us set the record straight. The theory of the meteorite slamming into Yucatan didn't cause "rain and flooding", it caused a massive global cooling episode due to the increased particulate matter in the atmosphere. Now that we have cleared up that little misunderstanding, let us move onto the matter of "Can science and religion agree". In a word, no. Science is a matter of understanding how nature operates by studying it and the formulation of hypotheses, theories and laws. Religion is belief in God based on faith. As for the dinosaurs fitting into Gilgamesh's Ark, it never happened. Gilgamesh (that the Jews call Noah) lived about six thousand years ago whereas the dinosaurs died off 65 million years ago. Not only did it not happen, it never could have happened. Also, the Bible doesn't mention dinosaurs (at all), much less all the different species of dinosaurs. Your "theory" also doesn't account for the extinction of water-based dinosaurs, which would not be affected by "The Flood". Your best bet is to leave science to scientists and continue to wear your religion blinders.

Religion is a very personal thing, no two people will agree on absolutely everything. Nice try with your reasoning though. If that's what makes you feel happy and lets you sleep at night, knowing that all is well in the universe, then its the right thing for you to believe. It doesn't work for me though, I must know too much about Carbon-14 dating, geology, paleontology, and anthropology.

peace & happiness...

Ok ok ok..... I think noah MEANT for the dinosaurs to board the ark. But you know T-Rex. He overslept after spending the night drinking in the Le Bria Bar Pits. After he missed the boat...... his life just sank.

hmmm... seems a little far for both sides to grasp

Something more they could agree on is the Earth will end by fire. i.e. Our sun turning into the Red Giant.
