C = 2 * pi * r
or
C = d * pi

Diameter (d) is the width of a circle. (The length of the line if it were drawn through the center of the circle from arc to arc intersect)

Radius (r) is from the center of the circle to the arc. Half of the diameter.

Pi = 3.1415.....

The diameter of a circle is the longest line which can be drawn through a circle, it passes through the center of the circle, and is twice the radius of the circle. The radius of a circle is a line drawn from the center of the circle to the circle. The circumferance of a circle is the measure of the circle from a point on the circle around the circle back to this point. The length of the circumference is pi times the diameter or two times pi times the radius of the circle. The value of pi is approcimately 3.14159365. As far I know no one has ever determined the exact value of pi, but many who need extreme accuracy in their computations use pi taken out to very many decimal places.

Circumference is equal to pi*diameter of circle, or using diameter=2*radius, circumference=2*pi*radius. pi is the ratio of the circumference to the diameter of the circle.

Circumference of a circle = 2(pi)(r) or (pi)(d)
where r = radius and d = diameter

Where does height and length come in circles?

Diameter is twice the radius.

Circumference = (diameter * pi) units.

NEVER approximate pi unless you are asked to do that or if the answer must be rounded off or approximated. pi is irrational.

Also, never forget units

u take the diameter and mulitply that by pie which is 3.14 or 22/7
if they give u the radius
mulityply the radius by two then mulityply it by pi
