I have to think about this but off hand I would say, Montinore Vineyards, Pinot Noir
from Oregons Willamette Valley,
it's not too sweet, but it's smooth
If you like sweet, try a merlot from Washington, a Port (only from Portugal ) or an icewine.
Shiraz is good on dates, cause it's spicy and exciting.
I like the Australian ones, but not Yellow Tale so much, you can get that anywhere here.

Gorgeous winery in the Napa region, V. Sattui...pure heaven. Their 2004 Sattui Family Cabernet Sauvignon is outstanding. About $20 a bottle. Go there if you're ever in Northern California! http://www.vsattui.com/

Probably Royal DeMaria Ice Wines, from Canada. I love 'em, but their very best goes for $30,000.00 Canadian per bottle. Haven't tasted that one, but some of the other more-affordable ones are great. The German Eisweins are very good, too.
