There is no cure for stuttering but it can be lessened. Several uncles and cousins of mine used to stutter. All of them overcame it except when under stress. They got help from The Stuttering Foundation and their book "Self Therapy for the Stutterer." Only one of them also went to a speech therapist who specialized in treating stuttering at the same time that he worked through the steps in the book. It is not something that will get better overnight. You have to work at it and practice, practice, practice, but you will be rewarded with better speech.

Depends on what is causing the stuttering. Speech therapy is usually very helpful. Sometimes something is bothering the person emotionally so talk-therapy sometimes helps.

Try speaking to the click...click...click cadence of a metronome. Start slow, work up. Hear it in your mind when away.

You want a laminar flow of thought to speech. When things move too fast you get turbulence then shocks and discontinuous flow like water hammer - stutter. Practice increasing the width of your dataflow.
