I have a female glass shrimp that has really dark eggs under her tail. And I want to raise them and I am short a aquarium. I placed some rocks and a plastic plant inside a old coffee maker glass container, with a air pump. Will this work?

I placed her in the container all by herself. So there are no other fish or shrimp in there with her

Very creative, I think it should work as long as the temp doesn't drop too far at night in your home. Just make sure the air pump doesn't cause the water to move too much in the coffee pot. A very slow stream of bubbles will be enough for them until they start growing.

I would invest in a 10 gallon tank and some bushy plants like Java moss for them to hide in and cling to. The whole thing shouldn't cost you more than $15, plants and all.

I have a 10 gal. set up with cherry shrimp that has najas grass in it and about 150 shrimp of all sizes. They multiply like mad and sell well at the local fish club auctions here in the Cleveland area.

Ghost shrimp are too easy to find at the store to make anything by breeding them, you should try some other species like the cherries or red claw shrimp that are not so available.

It might, that depends on what fish are in the tank and just how many you want to try to save. Pretty much any fish that can find one will eat it.
