it isnt a matter of age, its a matter of their maturity level. If you think your child is ready and responsible enough to stay at a friends house overnight then let him/her if not wait until he/she is

I don't think there is an age. It's if you trust the other childs parent. I don't care how old my kids are, they are not even going into a friends house unless I know the parent and have the proper contact information!

Whatever you feel comfortable with. If it is a good friend that you have met before, i think 7 or 8 is a good age. If it is a friend that you really don't know them, or haven't met their parents, i would wait til about 10 or 11. You get what i am saying, just know who's house they are visiting.

My son did at 5, but he had overnight experience with his grandparents. He's 9, some of his friends are just doing this for the first time, because they've never slept away from thier parents. It's really whenever your child is ready...
