I need a crappy car for a project.(under $400) not titled/ not registered w/ dmv because I will not be using it on roads. I would prefer one that runs or would run with only a few hours of work.(Id rather not rebuild the whole engine) If anyone could suggest where to look OR has one to sell me, that would be great. Thanks.

Wrecking yards often have builders for around this price. Some just need some minor engine work and transmission work. Other need complete rebuilds. Check with them and see what they have available. you should be able to find something in that price range. I hope the demolition derby goes well for you...

Have you looked on ebay ? there are some cheap cars on that and from experience i would go an old holden or ford. They have a really bad resale because there's so many of them so keep your eye out for one of them, or have a look at your local milk brr or convenience store for ads. Or just keep your eye out on car websites eg.Cars guide, carsales pretty much Google car sales and look for 2nd hand cars. there's plenty out there

check some city or county impound/tow yards
(they sometimes have auctions to pay off parking ticket/tow fees
or impound fees) a friend of mine got a used car for
under $600 that way
