No, but it may help your writing to take courses and get a degree in Creative Writing, English, or something onlong that line. Doing this will hone your writing skills, and only make you a better writer...which would help you sell more of your works. :-)

All you need is a good idea, somewhat effective writing, a little style and a lot of postage (it can take dozens of submissions to make a sale).

Oh, yeah, you also need a hard callous to keep from hurting from all the rejection slips.

I send a simple #10 with minmum postage and ONLY open those with one or two pages inside. Hopefull it's a check. If it's thick, then its a return of my MSS.
