I am having an author speak on the beach. I've already talked to the city hall and asked for a permit, but I just need to know which section of the beach I should use, since I'm not really familiar with it. And if you are suggesting a section, could I have a landmark along with it so that I can find it? And why you chose it would be nice too.

Thank you!

I agree with the others that said that they recommend the bandshell. I just wanted to clarify, however... this venue is actually called the Hollywood Beach Theater, and is located near A1A and Johnson Street. You may also consider going South just a little bit. There's a huge pink building called the Ramada Hollywood Beach Resort, which is a part of a complex that used to be a mall many moons ago. It's not an active mall anymore, but it still operates as a hotel, has a bar and restaurant, and a few shops that are really more tourist-type shops. On weekends, there is a farmer's market on the South side of the building, on the boardwalk, outside. They have all kinds of great fruit and vegetables, they make smoothies, etc., and it has really grown to be a "locals" hangout. This might be a good place to set up shop. As for the library that the previous person mentioned... I'm not so sure. It's a very small branch library, and there probably won't be a lot of traffic, especially if it's a gorgoeous day out.

I have to agree with the first answer. The bandshell, which I believe is at Johnson street. If it doesn't have to be on the beach, there is a small theatre. Also, the library & community center in Hallandale host different cultural events.

l believe you would use the "Bandshell". It would surprise me that they would let you use just any place along the boardwalk.
The town of Hollywood tends to regulate everything.
Assuming you get a permit- It will include instructions on
what you can and can't do.
