Thanks for looking. I am thinking of building a small pool in my back yard. I was thinking of a 7' deep and around 24' round, and was wondering around what the cost might be? What about above ground pools, are those any good? Thanks in advance.

The above ground pools are great plus the fact that if you move you can take it with you....maintenance is less expensive....and you can build a poolside deck.
Check your local area stores for price installation..........unless you want to try it yourself.

.....................NOTE.........
make sure they put a geotextile liner under the pool for rocks etc. It will help to make your pool liner puncture proof.
I use it in my garden pond and the pool as underlayment.

Have you called Pool Companies and gotten any estimates? That is what I would do. Talk to your neighbors that have pools and find someone who was satisfied with the work, that makes the best referral. Take into consideration the monthly up keep as well. You have to learn to do it yourself or hire a pool maintenance company.
In Florida, the in ground swimming pools range $30.000 and on up.
I wouldn't like an above ground pool, but my Friend that lives in the country has one. there was too much rock on her land and the cost to excavate all that was insane, so she went with the above ground. As for me, I want a patio and screened lanai with my pool, so we are saving to go in that direction.
