What do you collect and why?

I collect everything Marilyn Monroe! I've wanted to collect fairies for a long time but I can never find fairy things.

When I was little my teacher gave us all a little bottle filled with sand from Spain, where she went on winter break. Now each time I travel to a different country I buy a decorative bottle and fill it with sand. I now have over 50 of them and have them on display. Each time I see them it reminds me of my travels to that country.

I don't actively collect anything, though my friends think I collect cameras since I like them so much... ditto with bikes somewhat. I do have a collection of sorts of foreign coins from various parts of the world. My dream was to have one from each country on the earth, but that is absolutely impossible. So needless to say I'm content to rack in a few from time to time. I also have a few old American coins and paper silver dollars around as well. As for bikes, my dream is to have get a house with a nice garage and have a fleet of 5-7 bikes to choose from for a ride on a given day... from the racing/touring, hybrid, and mountain bikes. Ahhh yeah. Oh well... gotta wait even longer.

Let's see..
I collect coins cause I love the thrill I get when I get a new (old) one.
I collect lion figurines because I have always loved lions.
I collect rocks, I get it from my Mama, she has rocks from all over the world.
I must collect vinyl records cause I have so many of them.
I collect cats, cause they just keep showing up. I was hoping that after I got the first 5 spayed&neutered, they might communicate with each other & the flow of strays would stop. NO SUCH LUCK. Cleo, Liddy-Boo, Gris, Zorra & Percy.
I collect kisses from my wife of 10 years, again, because I love the thrill I get when I get a new one!!!

Yes , I collect heart shaped boxes, fairies, and key chains that's about it! I collect heart shaped boxes and fairies because I think their pretty and key chains because there is so many out there! Some have some of the funniest saying on them! My husband collects DVDs! So do you collect anything?

Avon perfume bottles......started with a few from childhood and it's something fairly inexpensive and cute to display. Now I look for them at garage sales....Mostly just animal ones. Also state quarters just because but I haven't really been adding to them lately.....Oh a new collection I just started is candy tins and other small items made in England because of meeting someone online who lives there.. :P I also have a collection of animal wicker baskets but think I will get rid of some, too hard to clean, keychains and stuffed animals I have had since I was a child.....A few dolls with my name too. I guess I collect too many things....LOL

I used to collect key chains---just because there are so many different kinds and they are pretty much the first thing you see in any tourist shop. lol

the quarters with the 50 us states on them. at first i wasnt doing it on purpose n then i seen that i had a grip of them so i just kept collecting them.......hopefully they'll be useful or something someday

i love stuffed animals,theyre my weakness i have a stuffed stich,a river otter,a lop eared rabbita small golden retriever .its getting so bad that i cant find the headboard! why do i collect them?just because!
