This isn't a question and I'm sorry to waste space, but I just wanted to bring something to everyone's attention. Please be very careful about heeding medical advice from people who "say" they are medical professionals. There is someone who keeps saying she is a physician and she has given so much misinformation to people and it is extremely dangerous. She misspells simple medical terminology and her answers are way off.She gave a pregnant woman horrible inaccurate advice about a UTI earlier and it makes me so nervous that she will do harm. I'm an RN and I know it is illegal for me to give medical advice, I just try to go with what has worked for me. Just please be very careful on who you listen to, you have no idea who that person is and if their credentials are real. ( I know, you don't know that mine are either ! : ) Just be careful . Thanks for your time !

I don't want to divulge her user name until she responds with an answer. But, she frequents this section and her answers blow my mind they are so off. And the sad thing is people think it's true medical advice so I can picture them doing what she says.

i totally agree. i am an RN as well, and the advice I give is based on personal experience and followed by "check with your MD/ pediatrician. This is not a medical site, it's for sharing info and hopefully people realize they need to take what they read with a grain of salt and a lot of critical thought of their own...it's scary to think of the possibilities if people didn't.

I know exactly who you're talking about, and it freaks me out too.
There are WAY too many women on here asking questions that they should be asking their doctors or midwives.
I understand sometimes all people want is a little feedback or an opinion or to share experiences, but some of the things women ask here scare the crap out of me. Like the women who come here asking, "Is my blood pressure too high if it's 195/102?" and others are responding with things like "I think it's borderline, you should just avoid salt."
I mean, dear God! Do you really trust the general public that much? *shivers*

Thanks for looking out for those out there looking for advice! I have seen quite a few BAD answers that are supposedly from professionals
Some people really don;t have a clue and any advice they get they may try, its scary to think that someone would take advice from someone claiming o be a doctor when they could really be a 12 year old boy.

How many Doctors are going to spend their time answering on Yahoo when they can be making $$$ for talking to people in their offices?
I agree that you should be wary of anyone who claims to be giving professional medical advice online!

it is not considerable to me in any respect how I die. in straightforward terms element i do no longer prefer is previous age. the only element i can not handle anymore is that if somebody else dies. as quickly as my suited buddy & maximum needed individual died final month, it replace my concept. i could have often earlier then been in touch approximately loss of life in my sleep as some determination. yet now, i do no longer care in any respect. i do in no way have faith in suicide given it somewhat is forcing some thing to ensue that needless to say wasn't meant to be whether it somewhat is self brought about. additionally, i'm no longer depressed. I stay standard and chuckle, love, and play. yet my suited buddy is my twin spirit and if she's over there someplace, then I truthfully do no longer care how I die. the only element i could care approximately is that if i ended up caught and residing for some somewhat damned long term. on a similar time as i could no longer have an suited, i will assert the worst case difficulty is an exceedingly long existence without my suited buddy. that ought to suck. Funerals and grief are so unhappy. it somewhat is such an agonizing part of existence. I extremely have been to too many this twelve months and picture that i've got had my share of grief for now. even regardless of the undeniable fact that I finally end up loss of life, I in basic terms desire it does not contain a difficulty the place somebody else is injury. I do have situation approximately different people... so as that regulations out vehicle injuries airplane crashes and and so on. yet even now, after dropping my twin spirit, i'm no longer frightened of drowning, fires, and so on. particular loss of life is considerable. particular it somewhat is an journey. it somewhat is a few thing that I used to think of of as a protracted way from now... yet now am frightened of it being too long from now.

Thanks for looking out for all the mothers and babies!
I take everything I read with a grain of salt, and when I answer I let people know it's from my personal experience, or I will identify where the info came from (i.e. my doctor, a certain website, etc.).

Thanks for the heads up. Have you reported this person to Yahoo? She is in violation of the TOS.
Everyone take care! Not everyone on here has good intentions!
