How long after you conceive might you start developing symptoms of pregnancy? My husband and I just quit using our preferred method of birth control in hopes of conceiving. This was 5 days ago. For the past 3 days I have been feeling naseous, can't eat much-I dont have a fever or flu like body aches or anything, its just my stomach...could it be pregnancy? Or is this just coincidence? Also, I had just stopped my period when we started-I heard you are not even fertile at this time of the month. Help! Thanks in advance!

Our preferred method is NOT the pill. We have used condoms or the pull out method for 2 years...successfully!!

Just coincidence...sorry...you'll ovulate approximately 12-15 days before your next period is due. After that, one of your first symtoms is a missed period. The funny thing is that many of the signs of pregnancy are also signs of your upcomming period so it can be a little deceiving. Good luck though...if you want to get a good idea of when you ovulate you can try temping. My hubby and I got pregnant on the first shot after a few months of learning what my body was doing. Good luck and happy baby making! :)

I would doubt that you'd feel pregnancy symptoms this early, although these symptoms are consistent with pregnancy. I would say that's it most likely that you're feeling those symptoms as your body is trying to adjust to not being on the birth control.
But, if you're really not satisfied, go get a blood test. They're more accurate than a home pregnancy test, and can tell you right away how far along you are.
Good luck trying to conceive!

If you just got off the birth control, you most likely are not pregnant yet. The symptoms that you may be experiencing now may be self-induced subconciously. Some women never feel any symptoms and some feel them at different times of the pregnancy (immediately or months later).

You might start feeling symptoms after implantation which occurs between Days 8-12.

Most women start feeling noticeable symptoms at about 2-3 weeks on average.

Actually you are VERY fertile right after your period ends because you ovulate at the middle of your cycle.

If your period doesn't come this month, you might just be pregnant! Best of luck

That seems a bit soon, but it could be. Usually about the time you notice a missed period you start experiencing symptoms.
