I have to ask permission for another pack of chips, let alone visiting some relatives! My husband is a control freak!

Ife he is at work and I want to se a friend or relative, I go, he dosnet mind. Its not like I go to a male friends house. I never even want to go out without him when he's home. But on the extremely off chance I would, I would ask. I have gone out w/o him but Ive also stayed when I sensed thats what he preffered but he doesnt go out either and he comes home right after work. Were married, we hardly see eachother as it is, why would I want to share those few hours with someone I can see all week. All my friends are sahm's. Its nto about permission on either side, its a respect thing. Someppl are so scared of being controlled they forget to be considerate.

That was a good laugh! I don't have to ask or get permission but I always tell him where I'm going common courtesy and he always tells me where he is going! We also tell each other just in case something happens we know where each other are! But ASKING NO WAY! I had that kind of relationship with my ex husband there is no way I would have it again! Thats one reason hes an ex husband! TRUST!

No.
I could see the friend visit being an issue if the friend was of the opposite sex and my husband was unaware of the visit. But a family member... no way.

No....and nobody should have to ask permission, particularly with a family member! I keep my husband informed of where I'll be, but I don't have to ask him if it's ok to go see Grandma!

No Sandstorm, my husband is in basic terms too lazy back to the table so I serve him his meal on a similar time as he sits in front of the television. After some years of waiting on him hand and foot he's approximately to get his strolling papers. thank you

I'm married. I don't ask permission per say. I do give him the courtesy of checking if he was planning something else for us and let him know about when I'll be back.

I don't have to ask his permission, but I do him the courtesy of letting him know. If I want him to accompany me, I let him know well in advance.
