I would call this "natural" in the sense that hetero guys love women. They love their shape, their vibe, everything. 40 to 20 is not so different. 1000 years ago the concubines aboard the Chinese "junks" (large ships) were 14-17. The men who enjoyed these fruits were of all ages from all over the world. It was an accepted construct. Nowadays, it is not accepted cuz we are talking meet the parents, having kids, and talking about life. The age difference can play a major role now due to maturity levels in our society.
What do I think...I think it depends on the people. If the 40 year old matured late and the 20 year old woman matured early it could work.

Of course there is no majic number as to how much an age difference there can be to have a successful relationship and eventual marriage. But as a rule 10 years difference between couples will work. The problems that arise with people who marry having 15, 20, 25 years between them are practical ones. When one is 30 and one is 50 it may work fine. But when the 30yr old turns 50 their partner will turn a vintage 70! and depending on health may be in his/her final years. And either spouse may wind up a widow long before they had planned. But many men prefer younger women, and likewise women older men. As long as the gulf isn't to wide I say go for it!

a guy in his 40's like women in their 30's is ok.. but take it down to the 20's well if my daughter went with a 40 year old i would slap her silly. not good

I don't think it's wrong for them to like women in their 30s. I do, however, question a 40 something year old who likes a woman in her 20s. It just seems as if they're more interested in the woman's youth and looks than they are the woman herself.

That's pretty much par for the course for men in their 40's isn't it? Men in their 40's go through the mid-life crisis. Most of them are balding, have love handles, even bosoms, need to take Viagra, and seek that external validation from a younger woman because of their insecurities and the need to have their egos (and another thing) stroked.

Hey, nothin wrong with that as long as he finds someone who likes him back. When I'm in my 30's, my husband will be in his 40's. It's when guys in their 30's go after girls under 20 that it's kinda gross.
