I had one and while it was expensive I thought it was soooo neat! We were told 100% no doubt the sex of the baby and got to see hands, toes, feet, mouth the umbilical cord. Even had some hair. It was really really cool. And at one point the baby put her hand to her mouth and we saw the tip of her tongue. It was kinda weird at the same time, but if you can afford it, I would say do it!! If you need the money for baby items or whatever else the typical 2d ultrasound is a great way to see the baby as well. Good luck in whatever you decide.

I go back for my redo tomorrow. I'm excited. The first time she was uncooperative, and shy... she hid her face behind her hands. And stuck her feet up in the way as well. Like a frog.

It' s my first child, and I'm 26and a half weeks along, so we're just doing the "quick peek" which was cheaper with less photos, but I still get to see. It was 90 bucks total. Not too bad. And then I bought the Dvd too. So... we'll see how that all turns out tomorrow evening. And I'll let you know if I think it's worth the money. <3

The 3D ultrasound is amazing and i would say it is worth it. Make sure that you get a cd of your pics so that you can print them off and have them as keepsakes. I didn't have to pay for mine seeing as how my insurance covered it. I was lucky cause my doctor is the only one in the state to offer 3D ultrasounds. It was the most amazing thing other than actually having my baby in my arms.

I had just the normal ultrasounds and I was happy with that. Hearing the heartbeat was the best. the 3d offers you a chance to see features of the child and have a real close up. If you have the extra cash and it is your first child go for it. They can make video of it. your should get one to show to your child later on

Those 3D ultrasounds are best a little further along, honestly.

Are they worth the money? If that's important to you, then yes. Personally for us, it wasn't worth it to us to spend that kind of money.

If I were you, I would go back around 33 weeks and get another one done. You'll probably be more impressed with the picture you get back and use THAT for your scrapbooks.

you should wait about 5 to 7 weeks, I paid only 20 dollars for the 1 picture and if I wanted more I'd get reprints, the baby is still going to look skinny, I would wait if I were u by the way I live in LOS ANGELES

Since ultrasound testing is non-invasive it is painless. And
ultrasound is used for many types of evaluations in the medical field. For example, I am male and have had a doppler ultrosound of the heart to evaluate the structual
integrity of the heart, the wall motion as the heart beats and
the functioning of the heart valves.

I promise you won't feel any discomfort from the test and yes
the ultrasound testing is worth the fee in my opinion.

Good luck with that.

The pictures do not usually come out as well as those you see in the advertisements.

Still, if you want to see what your baby looks like before he/she is born, it's the only option.

Personally, I say that if you've got the money, go for it.

if everything is normal and ok what do you need the ultrasound for? Does your health care provider reccomend it, is the insurance paying for it? do you need a pic of the baby while in utero?
