zonealarm.com or avgfree.com zone alarm is good for net firewall and avg is good for checking files on your comp or being downloaded to your computer and avg has three different programs that you can get ( * AVG Anti-Virus Free

I would suggest ZoneAlarm free version--you can upgrade it to Pro if you want the extra features but it is a fine stand alone product.
