i can't be able to connect on line in any other browser other than Netscape 8.1 it has become too slow

i can login with my msn messenger but not with yahoo.Tried to upgrade it but netscape navigator 9 won't connect either.i can use the yahoo webmessenger though. some thing about proxy settings that i cannot be able to fix ?
