(We had root beer floats last week and all the Hispanic kids HATED the root beer, but the native born American kids loved it--- so now I'm curious...)

I love root beer ... waaaaaaaaay back when I was a kid, once in a while my big brother would give me a couple dollars and I'd *WALK* maybe 1/2 mile round trip to buy a "draft" gallon of root beer and lug it back home where we indulge in root beer heaven and sometimes RB floats ... it was stupendous creamy rich dark swrling aroma that would spin you to other dimensions of epicurean hedonism.
and the floats ... I can't describe how good they tasted
