I think one sign of a good woman is when she vacuums the house while her man is not there. The sound of a vacuum can be a disturbance to a guy if he is listening to music, watching TV, on the phone with someone, has a buddy over, taking a nap, working on something, and all kinds of different things. Not only that, but if he needs his wife to fix him a snack or get him a drink, she will not be able to hear him call from another room if she is vacuuming.

Yes, I vacuum when my husband isn't home but not for the reasons you mentioned. I do it because I can concentrate better on getting everything cleaned, when I'm home alone. Plus I like to blast music (itunes) while I'm cleaning and that might disturb him if he was home watching TV.

True, the sound of a vacuum can be distracting.
But a vacuum that's comandeered by a wife in a maid outfit is even more distracting.

Okay I was a bit iffy about answering this question because I don't like your reasons why a woman shouldn't vacuum while her DH is at home but I will anyway.
I do try to vacuum while he's out but my reason is because he gets in the way when he is at home and it make vacuumong difficult.

I don't vacuum; my husband does. And he'd best be doing it while I'm not home so he can hear me complain when I'm there!

Yes I have all my house work done before he gets here....Well really I telll someone what to clean but I do make sure I cook before he gets home. Sometimes and most often I just call him to see where we are eating that night. On lunch when I am taking a break from shopping.
