You just reminded me to go take mine! lol
Alot of women stop taking them or don't ever take them at all. It does not cause your baby harm , however it gets the extras you and baby need. With my first child I took them for about a week and gave up because they made me feel sick, this time I am still taking them (with an occasional lapse of memory to take one). my son was born very healthy without them. As long as you are taking care of yourself don't worry about a few missed vitamins.

Not taking your vitamins will NOT cause harm. Women had healthy babies for centuries without multivitamins.
A good diet is what is most important. The body metabolizes vitamins best from food. But since some women have a hard time with morning sickness eating a varied diet is hard. So the prenatal vitamins are meant to help in getting some vitamins and minerals that might be missing from the diet.
No vitamin replaces a good diet or is CRUCIAL to a healthy pregnancy, but if you take them without getting sick, by all means, try to. I took Flintstone vitamins because the prenatals made me throw up.

Definitely take your vitamins! Don't worry that you have forgotten to take them, but you need to take them so that you can maintain your health and in turn deliver healthy babies. Pregnancy takes a lot out of your body, many women who have never had dental problems develop them during pregnancy as well as many more like anaemia, vision problems to name a few... I don't mean to scare you, but your vitamins are as much for your health as they are for you babies. One main reason prenatal vitamins are prescribed to women who are trying to conceive is because of the folic acid contained in them. Most women do not get enough folic acid through diet alone, and folic acid plays an active role in neural tube development. The neural tube develops throughout pregnancy, although the most crucial period is during the first trimester and even before most women even know they are pregnant! Neural tube defects can be devastating and can cause disorders such as Spina Bifida. Take your vitamin!

I don't know from personal experience but I would say take the vitamins I mean what is the harm. But DON'T take more than one dose at a time (not 4 days worth) because you can get sick from vitamin over dose.

I know the vitamins are important to prevent neural tube defects and most drs recommend taking a pre-natal vitamin while trying to conceive and during pregnancy. If your stomach cant handle them.. talk to your Dr about a different vitamin..if you cant handle any he/she will tell you what foods are important to make up for the folic acid and iron. Good Luck..

It won't harm the baby - the baby will take all the nutrients it needs from you, so YOU are the one who would *potentially suffer from not taking vitamins - but it isn't going to kill you or anything. You could end up anemic, with a decrease in important minerals, etc.
Just keep taking them when you remember. Missing a few days here or there isn't going to cause any problems.

The folic acid in the vitamins prevents spina bifida...not taking them for 4 days shouldn't hurt anything...I don't think I kept them down for 2 mos of my first pregnancy and my 16 year old seems fine (for a teen ager ) Don't stress...thats worse for the baby...

Not taking them won't cause you or your baby harm. I haven't been able to take my vitamins until a few weeks ago because I've been sick. Don't worry, both of you will be fine.

Growing fetuses leach away the calcium and iron especially in your body. This means you can become anemic or your bones and teeth can become brittle. Take your vitamins.
