None of the above since both parties are closed minded on how they act...each have a set of beliefs and they follow them (that's not being closed minded...this is==>) and talk trash about the other party...and don't believe in the other parties ideas...and it'd be open war between them soon...so to answer your question...neither Libs or Cons are open-minded. Most liberals I know & see are very close minded.
The liberals I know & see..........
1) don't want to reform education, make it more competitive and give parents true educational choice. I think this is close minded.
2) don't want to reform social security. They know the system is failing and is a horrible "investment" for people (thus the reason Congress doesn't participate in it and they invest in the stock market) yet they are unwilling to change it and let people have choice on where to put their own money.
3) don't want any diversity of thought, simply diversity of skin color, religion, language or culture. If liberals were open minded they would encourage debate and the exchange of ideas, they would embrace new thoughts and discuss them. Liberals are predominant in all levels of education yet they refuse to talk about all sides of issues or present them. This seems very close minded.
Most of the liberals I know and see only encourage change or embrace new ideas if they will undermine this great nation's security, traditions, heritage, culture and institutions. They are very "open minded" in these respects but do not apply their "open minded" principles when it comes to the socialist policies they so love.

As most have already stated, you exposed yourself as close minded in your question, and I am correctly assuming that you are in fact a liberal.....I will say this much, I do feel sorry for you...and I do hope that one day you open your mind and see the LIGHT of being a conservative!!!!!!

in case you watch no longer some thing yet fake information and pay interest to in ordinary words Republican or conservative pundits, then convinced, Liberals do look closed minded. yet, in case you easily, coach your self and pass out to fulfill with sorts of "liberals" then you will come to verify that Liberals are basically like conservatives; each and every team has execs and cons and persons who do no longer characterize the team they are aligned with o.k.. imagine for your self. have self belief no one. question 'actuality."

I dont think one can generalize like that. I'm pretty liberal (in the dictionary-definition sense of the word) and I live in Central PA, a pretty conservative area. Most of my neighbors are conservatives and I get along with them great and I consider them to be pretty open-minded, with the exception of the ones across the street, but theyre anti-social and just odd.
We dont call each other names or anything stupid. We dont discuss politics all that often, but when we do we dont yell or argue. They listen to me and I listen to them and we exchange ideas. One of them, the wife of my next-door neighbor, is now pro-choice because of her discussions with me. And as for me, I'm against gun control now (not entirely because of her, but she made a good case for why gun control is a bad idea.)
Its not impossible to debate things with civilized discourse when people disagree with you. My perspective has always been, if your point of view makes sense and is logical and well-thought out, theres no reason to get mad when someone disagrees. I like when people challenge my ideas and/or play devils advocate with me. Its much more interesting than sitting around with a bunch of people who agree with me on everything just preaching to the choir. That gets real old real fast. I like mixin things up a bit. Its more interesting, and it gives you another persons perspective, which is always a good thing to have.

What a question.
Let me restate for you
"If you don't see it my way (as a lib) or you are a closed minded con [idiot]".
I guess you just demonstrated how extremely open minded libs truly are. Thanks.

Conservatives, of course.
It is the Democrats who want the "Fairness Doctrine" which will close the mouths of Conservatives.

Since you're a big fan of blatant generalization, contemplate this. How come when liberals step away from the liberal rule book and speak their mind, the liberal blogosphere descends upon them and tries to ruin them? How open-minded is that? What happen to live and let live? What happen to "free thinking"?
