I'm in the Marine Corps Reserves. I graduate college next May. At the same time, my time in the Marine Corps is coming up. Should I re-enlist? If I do I'm going to Iraq atleast 1 more time. I will also miss all the Marines i've worked with for years. Should I just move on and direct my life in another direction?
I know when I'm in the Corps. I ***** about all the dumb things that could be change and it puts me in a bad mood. But I always think about my Marines/Friends.
I've been to Iraq with some of these guys 2 times already and they do feel like brothers. I feel that if I left I would be turning my back to them.

Dedication to your military brethren is the heart and soul of the Corps. It sounds like your heart is still with your brothers. If you cannot feel peace about staying home, then go. I regret not staying in and going to Afghanistan, all the time. I wish I had.

Here's a star... I wish I could give you more. Thank you for your service.

If you are having second thoughts about re-enlisting then you probably should not do it. You have been to Iraq once, you have paid your dues, you would not be turning your back on anyone.

It sounds like you would really miss being in the Marines. After serving in the millitary its hard to find relationships that even compare to the ones you had while you served.

You will leave them sometime, unless you're planning to all live together forever. College kids feel that way too but they move on. Personally, I feel you did your stint in Iraq and putting yourself back in harm's way because you'll Miss People is Asking For Trouble and, forgive me, it's stupid.

You are the only one who can answer this. You have to look in your own heart, weigh the pros & cons, and do what you believe in

And, thank you for your service to others....
