I've always liked the idea of a NOLA funeral where they play some sad music but then really get happy and I like 'When the Saints Go Marchin' In." It's happy.

But really, I think a funeral is all about the people arranging it and attending and not really about me. I'm already where I'm going to spend eternity, hopefully heaven, and so I think they need to do whatever will comfort them at my death. So they should play whatever helps them to cope.

A slow steady dirge should be played at a funeral, preferably one that honors the deceased (that is it uses optimistic and generally "happy" terms in reference to death) and brings the family/ loved nes together in mourning and in celebration of the deceased life.
