Dems are not in control of the government, the House, or the Senate.

When it's 51% to 49% in Congress, that means that you will ultimately have to rely on Republicans to sign off on them as well. Dems don't tow the party line typically, so there are always Democratic legislators who will vote the other way.

The President is what? That's right, Republican.

The VP is what? You guessed it, he's Republican too!

Bush can veto and has vetoed nearly every bill that's come across his desk. When he vetoes something, both the House and the Senate have to come back with 2/3 majority of the bill dies.

If you want to discuss politics, and this particular issue of "Dems have control....haven't done anything", I'd highly suggest you familiarize yourself with the way our government operates.

Dems do NOT have control of the government. And the final say is Republican on top of it.

I appreciate the lesson. I am not aware of any vetoes other than the latest 2. I am also not sure how many have come across his desk, so if there have only been 3 or 4, your argument cannot be denied.

We don't have enough of a majority to change anything right now. Anyone that is being critical about the changes that haven't happened yet either don't understand the way Congress works or knows it is an impossible goal.

Bottom line, talk to me in 2009 if we don't lose any seats and gain the Presidency. Change is inevitable. And in my opinion, change for the better.

1) How many bills has President Bush vetoed? 2? 3? That's not a lot of vetoes.
2) Dems were saying that Republicans had complete control when they had small majorities. Were you lying then or are you lying now?

If you repent of sin when the Holy Spirit tells you to then you will be in the will of God and make heaven. If yu don't believe in repenting of sin and turning from it daily and not caring to change I don't believe you will make heaven. Read Matt. 24 chapter near the end.

Good points, but I would say this is why a two party system is garbage and both of these parties have shown the inability to follow our Constitution. In many instances they both work for the same campaign contributors. Same agendas just different ways of doing them. Something is wrong when it's not the will of the people.

To the people saying this
Bush has only vetoed 2 bills.... in the last how many months? 7 how many before that did he veto?

President Bush has only vetoed two bills with zero overrides. That makes the rest of your "facts" very suspect .

And for at least the next year or so, that is a wonderful thing. The liberal democrats will sell our country to Islam and then wonder why they are being killed.
