Just wanted to see if unbenounced (sp?) is a word, my friend had stated that it wasn't, i'm willing to put money that it is a word. ex. "unbenounced (sp?) to me he had established the contract before my approval. If you know the proper spelling of the word or know if it is even a word at all your answer would be greatly appreciated.

After checking dictionaries and the Web, I conclude that "unbenounced," "benounce," etc., are NOT established words. They don't seem to be used in any real context except as mistakes for "unbeknownst"--which IS the word you need in the sentence you offer--and its relatives.
The fact that "unbenounced" gets 752 hits from Google, over 2,000 on Yahoo! search, and endorsement from some of the other Answers here doesn't mean much. After all, "honnest" gets about 60,000 hits on each engine! Compared to nearly 2 million for "unbeknownst" and tens of millions for "honest," they're just the crumbs of misspellings (or mishearings) that you can expect on the Web.
P.S. to GeorgiaSPeach: Love your pseudonym--but you've got to read the WHOLE definition, especially in the Urban Dictionary (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=unbenounced ):
"without proper invitation. unknowingly, used by most chaps who cant speak properly." In other words, the only dictionary entry anywhere for the word marks it as an error!

According to my spell check on word Processor, it is a correct spelling word, but the first letter is capitalized.

Yes it is a word, and that is the correct spelling. It means without proper invitation, unknowingly.

Judging from the example you used in a sentence, you are thinking of "unbeknownst" (un-bee-nhonst), meaning unknown, unperceived, etc.
