i was wondering at my pet store they have special gravle that breaks down the poo of a fish but does it really work?

Nope, not really. The pieces may disappear, but the waste chemicals are still in the tank.

it actually just absorbs ammonia. i think its the same thing as ammonia chips for filters. ammonia chips for filters are a lot cheaper
