An article I discovered through digg in yahoo news cites a whale aged 130, and states that whales sometimes live up to 200 years...

Until recently it was believed that humans were the longest lived mammal.

But now that honor goes to the Bowhead whale. It appears that 5% of the whales are over 100 with one known whale pushing 200.

Stone harpoon tips were found lodged in the blubber of some killed whales. It is believed that these tips must have originated in the 1860's or 1870's.

The bowhead whale (Balaena mysticetus) is the the longest-lived mammal with an estimated longevity of over 200 years.

Indeed that bowhead whale caught recently with an ancient harpoon in him is a good example.

tortoises are reptiles.
some mollusks are thought to live longer.
I have heard that sponges might not die (as they are simply an aggregate of cells)

It is the Galpagos turtle that lives over 150-200 years.

I think it's tortoises, but that's an awfully old whale.

The Tortoise is NOT a mammal, it is a reptile people!!!
