does it ever stall and go very slowly? does your wii make sounds like its trying to work harder? why is this? is it just mine or if you have a wii does it do this too?

That's strange. It never happen to me when I played the gamecube games on my wii. It could be your console. Try cleaning your game disk. :)
Clean your disk with a damp cloth.

no... try cleaning the disc. sometimes the system may be overheating, and that is why it is going faster and getting choppy, in that case, they sell cooling fans at stores like Gamestop,but otherwise it shouldn't be doing that... i would try multiple gamesand see what it does with them... if your problem persists then maybe you should get it checked out...
