You will need to remove the other fish as soon as possible. Each passing day will make things worse. Remove the fish and take it to a pet store. Explain to them why you can keep it and give it to them.

Most likely, the other fish will die. Betas are known fighting fish, and they usually survive fighting rather large predators. I had a young beta once, and my brother put his adult beta in with it, and my beta won the fight! My brother was of course mad at me, but it was his idea right? Anyway, back on topic... I'm pretty sure that unless the other fish is a shark, your fish will survive.

Why did someone put another fish in with your betta? Tell them to take their fish back or get another fish bowl.

You can go buy a bowl. They don't cost very much at all.

You don't have a deep bowl you can put the fish in to seperate them? You can get another fish bowl for under $3.00 at the Petstore.
I would seperate them, either one can die.
