A laptop docking station is basically a holder. This holder, however, can contain different things, such as a charger port, more USB ports, cd-rom (or other type of disc) drive, printer port, etc. The only downside is that they tend to be heavy.

a LAPTOP docking station is a thing you plug all your stuff into at home,and connect the computer to and then when you want to go, you take the LAPTOP and leave everything connected to the docking station

It is a Docking Station that may have extra USB ports and Printer Port and what not. Many offices use them.

it's like a stand u put a laptop on. they can come with many things, like a disc drive, more usb ports, etc.

it connects ur laptop to a keyboard monitor and mouse so it acts like a desktop.

it's a place where you can put your laptop.. it most likely has power to it and fans to keep it cool
