Recently, i bought a brand new ATI All-In-Wonder 2006 Edition, and on the box it says it is for AGP Buses. After i read the manual, it said that it is for a 8x/4x AGP slot. I have a VIA P4ma Pro (the 533 supporting one), and it have a 4x/2x AGP slot. I have't try it and please tell me if it will work, because it took me almost one year to find this "rare" graphic card.
Thx

An AGP 8x/4x card will work in a motherboard supporting eigher 8x or 4x. So, since your motherboard which supports 4x/2x, it will support the card. However, since it is a new card which is also released in a PCI-E x16 interface in addition to the AGP 8x/4x edition, you can probably assume that you'll see a performance hit from using 4x over 8x. To remedy this, though, it would require you purchasing a new motherboard as well as a new processor, in which case, you'd need a PCI-E card. Quite a conundrum.

properly, AGP is loss of life, even regardless of the undeniable fact that it isn`t going to die quickly. Now the suited card I extremely have used in my previous AGP gaming gadget replaced into the ATI RADEON X1950pro. This card performed Oblivion in any respect the utmost settings, easily and without stuttering. The board I had it in replaced into an Asrock based around the Nvidia chipset, I had no combatibility issues in any respect. I switched to PCI-E with an ECS motherboard based around the Nvidia GeForce 6100 integrated chipset. I extremely have put in an ATI HD 2600 XT and function had no combatibility issues. My advice to you would be to look on the fees for the ATI X1950pro AGP and the HD2600 AGP playing cards as those carry out in addition, albeit the 2600 is the extremely weaker, (yet extra low-priced) card. in case you`re going to spend around £a hundred thirty for the AGP version of the X1950, you ought to in all probability get a PCI-convey motherboard, new DDR2 memory and an HD 2600 XT for around a similar cost, and a whopping upward push in overall performance, using new memory and larger bandwidth with the photos card. Its what i could do.....
