I am going on summer vacation soon to Cape Cod and i ahve a betta fish should i have someone drive over everyday and feed it for a week or can it go without food for a week????

ok i am a betta expert! the enswers is 6-9 days without food! but if ur gone for more than 5 days i would have someone come over and feed the fish 1 day throught the whole week

A healthy betta can easily go a week without food and not suffer. Of course, regular feeding is always better and if you can have someone care for it every few days that would be ok too. I wouldn't have someone feed it every day, because it will need a water change and you won't be there to do that. Ask if they will feed your fish once or twice while you are gone and all will be well.

The betta can go at least a week without food, you dont need a vacation feeder as it might ruin your water. You could probably have someone feed it a small a mount twice a week while your gone. and to the poster above humans can go a week without food.

most fish can go a week to a week and a half w/o food but u can also go check out i think walmart or petco maybe petsmart and ask about the feeders or the vacation feeders. the vacation feeders are i think like a big tablet that feeds the fish any where fromi think 3 days to a week. good luck.

They say feed them every other day. They also sell vacation feeder to put in his tank so he doesnt starve. You could also just bring him to a friends house to care for him.

I think a week would be way too long and it would suffer. You should have someone come and feed it for you.

ummmm,about 6-10 days i had one i was at camp and my mom forgot to eat but it was still alive.
