I Have linksys and i want to take off the key

If you have forgotten your password you will need to set the router back to the defaults.. There is a small reset button on the back, hold it down for 15-30 seconds. Wait for the router to reset (this will restore ALL FACTORY defaults) you will then be able to login and set up what you want. This will clear the security settings also.
Check linksys.com site if you dont know the original password.. I believe it is admin as the username and password.
The default IP is http://192.168.1.1 the default ssid is linksys
It is best to use a WIRED machine to setup the router.

Depending on the router, there's usually a web address like http://192.168.x.x or something to that effect that lets you log onto the router and make those types of changes. Check the bottom of the router and the login address may be there.
Usually the standard login name is admin / password is blank until you assign one.
