This assessment is used to determine a students cognitive ability and education achievement scores.
This assessment usually includes an IQ test and other test to assess a students academic skills in Math, Reading and Writing.
These tools are used when determining if a student is need of special education services.

The above answers are pretty much correct, but the assessment is usually tailored to the child's needs, aka what the suspected disability may be. It will definitely have an intelligence test as well as achievement testing (reading, math, writing, etc). If an intellectual disability is suspected, they will include adaptive testing as well (time, money, safety, communication, etc.). For a possible emotional/behavior disorder, then behavior ratings &/or questionnaires may be used. Usually expressive and receptive language testing is also given.
After the assessment is given, a committee consisting of the psychologist, teachers, and parent(s) meet to discuss the results of the tests and decide what is best for the child.

Psychoeducatinal assessment is a process of evaluation designed to know /determine learning disabilities of someone ( a student /a prospective trainee/learner.
The assessment involves administering(aptitude tests) IQ tests, reasoning ability & mathematicaal ability tests, Psychometric test etc.

It is a test that is given to a student usually who is suspected of having a learning disability. It is a test to determine what is the difference between a standing IQ and a performance IQ. This is the test that finally convinced that dept. of ed that I knew what I was saying when I said that she was learning disabled. Her standing IQ is 127 but her performance Iq was 90 and that meant that there was a deficit between what she knew and what she could prove that she knew doing school work. My daughter can do any subject if you can allow her to do it verbally ask her to write it she has another issue. It was this that was able to prove that she wasn't learning the way that she needed to.
