This is not an easy question to answer, both have advantages and disadvantages. Good points and bad points. They are close as far as quality and resale value so basically it comes down to personal preference, but if I have to make a selection I would say Chevy..☺

i never owned a dodge truck,but i have owned chevys and fords.if i was going to buy a new truck today,it probably would be a ford-150,just because i like fords.i dont have anything against chevys,i just never got as much use out of them as i did with a ford.

With proper maintenance & good driving habits, any vehicle should last 60,000 miles before major problems begin. The way to get longer life is to drive conservatively, allow car to warm up, no jackrabbit take-off's, no throw you into the windshield stops, check tire pressure regularly, keep a MPG log. If mileage drops 10-15%, there is a problem. All trucks are engineered for long life,no matter who makes them. The longevity and reliability depends on the operator and driving conditions. dodge and chevy are the most dependable. i have owned all three still have two dodges and two fords, the fords have become regulars at the garage. the chevy are no better than the dodges but cost more
